There are lot of misconceptions in Science;
Especially in physics,and precisely in the area of imagination, understanding, perceiving.
So,with experience (well,being a victim too) I will make you aware of some of the misconceptions in physics (that what I know).
Black hole is not a region in space where extreme attraction or gravity takes role, instead it is a collection of events happening ,which we usually say 'it doesn't happen' in space.
Event horizon is not the boundary of the so called Blackhole,which usually gets represented by a surface around a spherical body,but instead it is also, a collection of those last events,to which we can assign a particular 'when happened', or clearly "Event horizon is the collection of events,for which the thing named 'time' can be specified" ,Which clearly indicates that, soon after event horizon (not boundary,but event),there is not time,or nothing happens.
Black hole is a super giant vacuum cleaner,it suck everything going near by but,due to its high gravity. No! Wrong.
Black holes never attract anything. As I already said, black hole is just a collection of events. How can an event pull something? Nonsense!
Those events which took place,has a cause. Those cause which makes the objects passing near by to alter the path. Those same cause which make those collection of events,will also warps spacetime's which makes the near by objects to fall. Or clearly, attraction can be replaced by the word 'falling'. Blackhole attracts nothing,everything falls into its region if action. Everything tends to follow the steepness ,tendency created by those events to follow them.
Light cannot escape from black holes,due to the powerful gravitational pull due to the Blackhole. No its wrong. Now, being that wrong doesn't mean, 'light can come out from a Blackhole'. I mentioned blackholes is a collection of events,as well as the attraction is just a fall. The speed of fall or tendency to follow the events has a rate equal to the rate at which photos/electromagnetic pulses propagate in space. Hence equal rate to both direction cancels the propagation,hence no movement. So,light is not at all moving to inside or outside. Stationary state doesn't mean,cannot come out,it's not the gravity,but it's just there is no excess pulling power.
Nothing comes out of Blackhole. Everything gets sucked inside ,when something is send near a Blackhole and hence there is no reflection. So Blackhole is invisible.
Those the are convincing,but bad statements. The fact is that, even thought the light comes out (not only light,whatever the radiation) we won't be able to see it. Because,as an object approaches Blackhole, up to a time we can see the object clearly. From then,the colour of object will start to become redder and redder. It's just because, as the lower wavelength radiations would already have been tended to follow the events at event horizon's. So, after the red, the waves will be coming,but with higher wavelengths. The wavelength can be even bigger, so that it looks more like a straight line. (Just imagine, a sine wave is elongated from Blackhole to our earth,it will be a infinitely elongated to become a straight line)
The density of black hole is said to be infinite,precisely at the centre,in a point called 'singularity'. Actually,there is nothing so called infinite density. When we theoretically approach the centre of a Blackhole, the equations in our sense gives an increasingly high density. It doesn't mean, density is infinite ,but rather it means two things. Either mass is indefinite or our maths are wrong. This both can be Possible. So,never consider it as an infinite density. Also, a steep change or Orthogonal change in space also,delivers this sort infinite amounts. It clearly indicates that, the 'Singularity' might be a steep fall,just like a hole in the ground. (Actually ,its the reason why we call that whoooooole thing as Blackhole!)
