- We know what is a map,right?
- It is flat model of earth's Surface, mainly lands.
- But earths's surface is curved and not flat (even though it seems to be flat)
- So,the real Fact is that,we cannot create any symmetric good looking map,by just unfolding that curved earth's surface.
- But Below shown is the world map, perfect, solid and symmetric.
- But this Rectangular piece of image has a lot of blunders.
- You can watch the Greenland-Africa Paradox in the below image

- See this,
- Greenwich and Africa is almost the same in size in the flat maps.
- However, when we compare their actually area and size, it will be looking like this

Why this happens?
It just happens, because,in a map we mostly never look for the area of regions.
As a result, the use of area is neglected.
As we move from equator to the poles, they will be shrinking.
When we unfold the spherical globe's surface, only the equatorial region will be same.
all other regions will be slightly expanded to make the map a rectangular one.
